The First Aid Essentials (FAE) standard is a suite of courses tailored to specific groupings to provide first aid education and skills to target specific areas of interest, within a one-day programme. All courses within the First Aid Essentials programme include a Cardiac First Responder – Community core module.
PHECC Basic First Aid Course Content:
The aim of this PHECC First Aid Essentials Basic First Aid Course is to give learners the awareness and skills to assess a life threatening situation and apply life saving skills.
The First Aider possesses defined skills in the management of a patient who has become suddenly ill or injured in the pre-hospital environment until the arrival of emergency medical services (EMS).
This course is delivered in 6.5 hours in person. This can be divided between days/evenings/weekends to suit individual group requirements.
On successful completion of the course a PHECC Basic First certificate will be issued in affiliation with Qualtec.
All certificates will be sent digitally and can be verified online. We can also re-issue a certificate if you can’t locate it.
Certificates will be valid for 2 years.
The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council protects the public by independently co-ordinating, developing, reviewing, regulating, and governing standards of excellence for the safe provision of quality pre-hospital emergency care.
This course is delivered through english. All participants should have fluent english.
There’s a ratio of 8 leaners per 1 instructor for the Basic First Aid Course.
If you’ve a larger group size we can facilitate this with additional instructors or extra courses.
Basic First Aid training should be carried out by people who may require these skills in the home, workplace or community.
