Leaving Cert Results 2026; What’s Next?

Congratulations to everyone receiving their leaving certificate results today from Responder Training

Today is a big day for students receiving their Leaving Certificate results. After years of hard work, study, exams and preparation, results day marks an important milestone and the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Everyone at Responder Training would like to congratulate all students receiving their Leaving Certificate results today.

Whether you’re delighted with your results, surprised by them, or perhaps feeling disappointed, remember that your Leaving Certificate results do not define you or determine your future.

A huge achievement

For many students, today will bring excitement about university, college, apprenticeships, further education, employment or travelling. For others, results day may be the first step towards considering a different route.

There is no single path to success.

What’s next after the Leaving Certificate?

The days and weeks following the release of the Leaving Certificate results can be filled with decisions about your future. You may be considering:

  • University
  • Further education and training
  • Apprenticeships
  • Employment
  • A year out for travelling
  • Volunteering
  • Exploring a completely different career direction

Whatever route you choose, take the time to consider what interests you, what you’re good at and what type of career or lifestyle you want in the future.

Don’t let points define your potential

It’s easy to become focused on CAO points and comparisons with friends on results day. However, academic results are only one part of your journey.

Skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, resilience and problem-solving can all be valuable throughout education, employment and everyday life.

At Responder Training, we believe that practical skills can make a genuine difference. First aid and emergency response training can provide students and young adults with knowledge and confidence that can be useful in school, college, the workplace and the wider community.

Learn skills that can make a difference

As you move into the next stage of your life, consider developing practical skills alongside your academic qualifications.

Learning first aid for example can give you the confidence to respond appropriately when someone becomes ill or injured. Whether you’re heading to college, starting work, entering an apprenticeship or volunteering in your community, first aid awareness is a valuable life skill.

A message to parents, teachers and supporters

Results day isn’t just a significant moment for students. It’s also an opportunity to recognise the parents, guardians, teachers, school staff, friends and family members who supported students throughout their secondary school journey.

Whatever your results, your journey continues

If your results are exactly what you hoped for, celebrate your achievement.

If they’re better than expected, enjoy the moment.

If they’re not what you wanted, don’t panic. Take some time, speak to someone you trust and explore your options. There are many different routes into further education, training and employment.

One set of results does not determine the rest of your life!

Congratulations from Responder Training

To everyone receiving their Leaving Certificate results in 2026, Responder Training would like to say:

Congratulations! 🎓

You’ve worked hard to reach this point, and today is your opportunity to look back at what you’ve achieved and forward to what’s next.

Whatever path you choose, we wish you every success for the future.

From everyone at Responder Training — congratulations and best wishes for the next chapter!
